My mom can't keep up with me so she made me a large playpen that dad and I hang out in. We play a lot and throw toys around. This is a picture of me about to attempt to climb out of the playpen.

I was trying to get Vader to wake up and play but he was more interested in sleeping. It took a lot of yelling and slapping the door to get him to play. If you didn't notice, I'm standing and walking by myself. The hockey skates will come next.

My first Easter was a big day with the family. I went to church and hung out with grandpa during the mass. After church we ate at Aunt Lori's house and played. It's exhausting being the center of attention.

Santa asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told him that I wanted two new Remington Shotguns, a new Remington Rifle, a Polaris Sportsman, a deer stand, a duck boat, some decoys, more camo clothing, some ammo and a Buck knife. How could he say no to a sweet little hunter like me. I told my dad to make sure there was a lot of room under the tree for my presents.

It has been a while since I have posted anything on my blog but I have an excuse. It's hunting season and Dad and I have been busy in the field. My grandma, Nancy bought me this pumpkin costume for Halloween.

Vader and I make a good hunting team!

My dad brought me on my first hunting trip last week. We shot some geese including one that was banded and Vader did his job of retrieving them. Mom is still mad at us because dad and I came home sick and Vader had a sore shoulder. Dad told me to get use to mom reacting like that when we get home from a hunting trip.

My dad promised me a new gun, a four wheeler and a puppy of my own to hunt with when I get a little older. I'm sure I can talk him into a few more things.

Picking Apples

The best time of the year has come, Fall. Fresh fruits, fresh vegetables and hunting season top the list but gorgeous weather ranks up there as well. The pictures were taken in my grandparents apple orchard. This is where we pick the apples so my grandmother (Nancy) can make me a large pan of apple crisp. If you didn't notice we are wearing our "Gopher Gear." Fall is also the start of hockey season. Like I said, this is the best time of the year.

My Uncles

I have four uncles that spoil me to death but I like it. This is my Uncle Doug holding me when I was two days old. I'm a lot bigger now! Doug is my Godfather and he will be at my baptism in a few weeks.
Uncle Dean is going to teach me how to fish for walleye and cook a great meal. My dad and mom tell me that Dean is a phenomenal cook. I'm still drinking milk for every meal so a good meal would be nice for a change.
My Uncle Jack is the most experienced with kids. Jack has been an uncle before and he knows how to hold me so I don't cry. I'm sure Jack could teach me how to play piano but I don't know if my mom will let me play since she hated piano lessons growing up.

Uncle Derek is not pictured at this time. He will be added to the blog at a later date. Derek was fishing for Musky when I was born so we didn't get any pictures. I like him already!

My new home!

This is my new home out in the country. Vader and I have tons of space to run and play. We get to move in at the end of the month. My mom can't wait to move in. She said her favorite thing about getting a place of our own was that she could have all my baby stuff organized. Plus, we have a guest home for friends and family to come visit.

Family and Friends,

Just so you know, I'm over ten pounds now. I eat a lot and I'm starting to sleep more at night. My parents introduced me to a bottle and I don't like it as well. I still eat from it but I would rather be snuggled up to my mom for a meal. I do like when my dad gives me a bottle because he makes all kinds of funny faces and noises to get me to smile. I saw my doctor last week and he gave me a clean bill of health. He said I was growing at a good rate. I guess I will just keep eating and smiling at my dad and mom.

I'm now over a month old and I can hold my head up and smile. I like to be held most of the time but sometimes I like to be left alone to relax in my bed. This is me relaxing. If you see me like this, Please! don't touch, I get crabby.

My Aunt Julie flew all the way from Portland, OR to be here when I was born. She waited all week for me to come and I finally showed up on Friday. I think I inherited my Grandma Mary's "piano toes." Her toes are so long it is said that she can play piano with them. My dad has those same long toes and it looks like I have them too. Lucky for me, my grandma Nancy just happens to have a piano....move over Beethoven.

My grandma Nancy and my grandma Mary get to hold me for the first time. They anixously waited all afternoon. They both were watching a birthing monitor when the nurse said she thought I was being born. Grandma Nancy will teach me about farmlife and how to enjoy the beauty in gardens and birds and the things all around me. Grandma Mary will teach me about animals and tell stories and best of all she likes to shop, so I expect lots of cute clothes and toys in my future.

Diaper Change

I made my Dad proud with my second diaper change. It was around 11 pm and my dad got up to change me. The nurse heard the activity and came into check on us. She insisted on changing me to give my dad a break. She had been working there a long time and had never seen anything quite like it. I may have my moms looks, but I guess I will have "two-flushes" just like my dad.
